About Kristin
Kristin is a dedicated therapist with a passion for helping individuals and couples navigate life's challenges and transitions. Her areas of interest and specialities include:
Couples, Marriage, & Premarital Counseling
Kristin specializes in working with couples who feel disconnected or stuck in repetitive patterns, offering compassionate support to help them rediscover intimacy, communication, and a deeper connection. In addition to couples therapy, Kristin is a certified Prepare/Enrich premarital counselor and provides specialized premarital counseling through a 4 session program, helping couples build a strong foundation as they prepare for marriage and setting them up for long-term success. At the end of the program, couples will be provided with a certificate to receive a discount on their marriage license.
Individual Counseling
Kristin also offers individual therapy for teen and adult clients, working with those who are facing a wide range of difficulties, including life transitions, emotional struggles, anxiety, depression, and personal growth challenges.
Perinatal Counseling
With specialized training in perinatal (prenatal & postpartum) counseling, Kristin is particularly equipped to support new moms and couples navigating the complexities of parenthood, offering a safe space to process the changes that come with this major life transition.
Brainspotting Therapy
Kristin has additional training in Brainspotting Therapy, a specialized, brain-based therapy that can be used in trauma treatment. Much like EMDR, Brainspotting uses a person's visual field to access and process deep-seated emotions and traumatic memories- often considered "unprocessed" by the body- allowing for the release of emotional pain, deeper emotional work, and healing of trauma.
Therapeutic Approach
Kristin’s unique style of therapy blends deep emotional work with insightful guidance and practical, tangible steps for moving forward. Her approach is warm, supportive, and goal-oriented, empowering her clients to take meaningful action and create lasting change. With a wide variety of personal and professional life experiences, Kristin is able to understand the unique challenges that individuals and couples face, making her approach both relatable and deeply empathetic.
Personal Life
In her personal life, Kristin is married, a mother of two, a Nashville native, and a University of Georgia graduate. She has had the opportunity to live all over America and in Okinawa, Japan as her husband served in the Air Force. In her free time, Kristin enjoys traveling, music, reading, hiking, and making memories with her family. Kristin knew early in life that she wanted to be a counselor. She finds her work deeply fulfilling and her commitment to helping others thrive is at the heart of everything she does.
